Crowns in the garden

Okay, maybe it's a stretch, but that's what some of the blooms of the columbine flower look like to me. They are unique and profuse, just a mass of color.

Like the foxgloves in my yard, they grow in the oddest spots. Where ever the seed lands the plant develops and flourishes. If I transplant them they don't mature nearly as nicely as the "volunteers" throughout the yard do.

Here are a few pictures of some throughout our landscape. The first one shows the mass of blossoms along a wall behind the clematis.
